Did you join us just to post this?

An incredibly sad idea that I would find embarrassing if I supported it...which I don't.

Welcome to the forum if you are here for more than just promoting this banner.

You do seem to have a sensible head on your shoulders, SD. <ok>

The OP actually opened his account on our board for exactly the same thing, but pretending to be one of us. This, in itself, is pretty pathetic!

We do have lots of 'bona fide' wums (you know who you are) visiting us, and they are more than welcome. We dished it out, so should expect to take it now. fair play to them. I do hate posters who pretend to be who they're not though. Don't know why, it just gets my goat.

Regarding the banner - <doh>. I see the target is £750, anything short of this goes to the Bobby Robson Memorial Fund. Here's hoping it reaches £749 so the money will go to a great cause. <ok>

As you will all no doubt attest when it comes to class and dignity I always uphold the highest of standards. But that goes out the window when it comes to them up the road (they don't bother with it, why should we?). Of course the money would be better spent going to Sir Bobby's charity but I will have a sly chuckle at rubbing it in their noses if it does happen.

The Banner will read "Pride Of Anglia Since 1878" Well I can't argue with that but I wouldn't support anyone doing this!

I think George would have more luck on twtd trying to fund a banner to go over Portman Road saying 'Mick out' or 'We love Darren Ferguson"

It's not even an original idea, it's already been done recently, just not against a rival team.

I'm just not sure who it gives ammunition to, us or them?

If it's meant like some college frat joke like stealing the rival school's mascot I may see the funny side of it but I don't know if it's meant that way.

The thing is SD, even the ones who talk about it being purile (which it is) would have a pang of hatred and dread and embarrassment at their ineptitude when they see it.

They can talk about the money that's been earned and debt being paid off, but that hasn't evened up the record books any. The lack of ambition and playing it so safe they send out crash test dummies instead of players onto the pitch is the reason for their demise.

You really one sad, bitter and twisted little man hampy.

Please go and see a mental health nurse.

Seriously, I think you have issues.

I hope you can find a way through this.

I know you're hurting treacle, but we don't go down the mental health insult route on this board, it's not amusing, ta.

It is an honest and genuine concern fella.

One of the guys that works for me has recently been signed off for stress.

There are more important things than football.

Not hurting at all about the impending relegation.

I am looking forward to watching some more pleasing on the eye, open and entertaining games next season. The championship is a more even league and better to watch.

    I am sure you agree.

    <cheers>

750quid to support a wonderful charity named after/ dedicated to a Ipswich and England gentleman and great or a minute of mocking a rival, which in all likeliness would have no adverse effect on our feathered friends and not seen by 99% of us
    Tough decision really isnt it.
