On my way home last night I was abused by afc fans I wouldn't mind but I had my 11 year old son with me.The things they called me were shocking and to a point where a lady told them to grow up .One fan came up to me and said Kedwell is this and that now I didn't retaliate and just walked away so much for afc being a friendly club .
Sorry to read of your experience Gavin. I can only guess from the lady comment, that she gave some indication to the problem. Sadly we live in a society where no matter how family friendly a club, there will always be the juvenile delinquency that occasionally have to spoil someone's day. Not nice.
I wouldn't have minded its just that my 11 year old was with me obviously I said to the morons watch your mouth and then the name calling of kedwell started oh well hopefully next season we want have to play them .
we have our bunch of these! After the Bradford game i was walking back to the car park near the train station (where the visitors coach(es) park and there was a group of Gills fans around 13/14 using some charming language and goading the away supporters most of which was family people, but of course they were doing from the safety of the opposite side of the road no doubt ready to run if challenged!
As a Dons fan and also a fan of Kedwell, I am shocked to hear of your undeserved treatment. I am so sorry. Sadly every club has their small minority of mindless supporters. If only there was a way that they could be banned from games and let all the true innocent fans enjoy it.
Think it was just sour grapes to be honest and just a minority as was talking to many afc fans before the game with no problems it makes it worse as this was my local game living in the Kingston area .
