Arsenal have become the first sports team in the UK to reach three million followers on Twitter. The account passed the mark over the weekend as the club went five points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Liverpool. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2013-14/nov/arsenal-reach-three-million-on-Twitter.html
We seem to capture a lot of younger fans, who will naturally be happier using technology and new media. Sometimes, having all the young whippersnappers around can be a bit tiresome for us old farts, but I think it is great for the club. We seem to attract a lot of neutrals, and I can once again only put it down to the way the club is run and the style of our play masterminded by Wenger. People that are not diehard fans of other contending clubs want us to win and that can only be a good thing. Long may it continue!
Is there a corresponding fall in Man Utd twitter followers. Maybe you are the plastics home of choice until you go second.
sad & bitter are you. perhaps you should get your fans to support your team like AVB wants, and maybe try scoring goals from open play with attractive football so that "neutrals" can admire how your team plays.
