A little bit of Bournemouth history:

The roots of the club go back to Boscombe FC, founded in 1899. In 1923 the Third Division was formed and Boscombe FC were elected to the Southern League. So that they could be more representative of the area they played in, in 1923 the name was changed to Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic Football Club. That is still their registered name, although in 1972 the trade name A.F.C. Bournemouth was brought into common use.

In 2008, Bournemouth were forced into administration with debts of £4M and almost disappeared completely. During this period of turmoil Eddie Howe a former player was appointed, the youngest manager in the Football League at the age of 31. Howe's first full season in charge brought success as Bournemouth finished second in League Two to earn promotion, but he left for Burnley. Eddie Howe returned as manager in 2012, and not only did he pull the club away from their early-season relegation battle, they achieved promotion to the Championship, returning to the second-tier of English football for the first time since 1990.

The Goldsands Stadium has a capacity of just 12,000, so it is no surprise that the game this Friday is totally sold out.

    Team News:
Bournemouth are likely to have Tokelo Rantie available after his South Africa side were eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Boss Eddie Howe will make changes after putting out a weakened team against Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

Watford have no new injury concerns but are still without four players.

Joel Ekstrand (back), Almen Abdi, Fernando Forestieri (both hamstrings) and Sean Murray (knee) are all out.

    1 Bournemouth 27 29 51

    2 Derby 27 25 51

    3 Middlesbrough 27 24 50

    4 Ipswich 27 19 50

    5 Brentford 27 8 49

    6 Watford 27 25 47

The game is being shown on Sky Sports, so it is possible that there will be a live stream.

Where ever you live in the world ENJOY THE GAME.

Nice one Frenchie. Be lovely to keep the winning habit going here but will obviously be a more difficult test. With both teams so high-scoring, I'm going for a silly 3-3.

I'm down there for this one.

I went down for the Norwich game against Bournemouth, and they were pretty lucklustre and couldn't get their passing game going (sounds familiar). Hopefully this is their 'bad spell' and we can take advantage of it.

I would defintiely still take a draw here though! I think much depends on which Watford turns up, and will be interesting to see which formation he goes with - Blackpool first or second half!

Thanks for the thread OFH <cheers> Obviously a difficult game in prospect and hoping for a decent performance - Aberdeen was spot on during the week. This is the kind of game where we really get the opportunity to show how much we want it. COYH!

A bit nervous about this game, just has that feel about it. I think we will win 2-1 but it's going to be a tough game. I suspect they will come out flying and will try and close our passing game down, so we need to be patient and ensure our passing is neat and tidy and frustrate them. We owe them a beating after last seaon and their blatent dive for the second penalty - I really do not like Eddie Howe after that game.
