I think Swords is simply being honest to be fair. Unlike yourself, who just chooses to run Taarabt down no matter what.

Yeah, forgot about Hoilett, Col. Not so sure I'm a fan of that formation, but anything's worth a go, I suppose. Being a tad old fashioned, I kinda favour two in the central midfield and two giving it width. Problem here, of course, is that it requires (amongst other things) central defenders that know what they're doing for most of the time. Know of any, anyone?

Queens, up until this point the hype surrounding Tarbs didn't match his achievements on the pitch, which at the top level were largely non-existant.

However, you must give credit where its due. And we are QPR fans after all and surely all we want is to see our players play as well as we know they can?

Tarbs ain't proved anything yet because you have to do it on a consistent basis and we'll have to wait another few months to see if he really has what it takes to be a great player. But the signs are good right now and I've been very impressed with him in the last four games.

Indeed. Playing two holding midfielders gives the back 4 much more protection and still gives the width you crave from the two on each side of the 3 behind the forward. Just feel it's worth a go. Not exactly working at the moment imo.

TBH, I'd prefer a change in formation which would allow Taarabt to attack more and worry less about having to defend so much. Whilst he is rightly getting plaudits for his work rate etc, he is most effective when getting at the opposition in the final third.

I was actually thinking that myself. You don't want your race-horse doing the Donkey work too much. Its all about balance really. If himself and the Manager can find that nice middle ground then he can only get better and better.

If we are to win tomorrow and I think we must, I think Tarbs is going to be influential in that. Whether it be nut-megging someone and setting up a goal or going and scoring himself. A touch of magic like what we saw against West Ham could be all we need for our entire season to turn.

Up off Zamora is probably his best position.

Yeah, that too. In fact, it would be great to see a squad of players that could adapt comfortably to several formations at the drop of a hat.

Good post Swords, welcome back you naughty boy! As you know, I'm not one of the Adel-worshippers on here but I have to agree, since his grand entrance against the Hammers, he's looked our most dangerous player either from his runs or creative passing and, at long last, we're seeing the player who terrorised the championship looking like he may do the same in the big league.

I have to say though that MH really pisses me off with the way he uses Adel and doesn't seem to appreciate the potency he could provide. SWP is a waste of space and the Diakite-Granero-Faurlin central midfield has to be better than the crap we're served up with SWP and Park 'working' and creating f*ck-all...

A rumor going around is that Arsenal will put in a bid in Jan.

Taarabt wouldn't do it - he's always said that he'll leave us for a top team.

Any of you Redknapp fans considered how Adel may react to the boss who didn't think he would ever make it taking over?

Yes. Harry will sell and spend to try to replace what we had. Only difference is that Adel will go for a snip and we will get some big name or two that Harry regards as indispensable for a year or so for twice the price and twice the wages. I really do not buy into the Harry Redknapp myth. What I find staggering is that he always seems to do very well for himself while the clubs he manages are plunged into financial oblivion. He then walks away claiming a lack of support and gratitude.

Hopefully he'll be in the top team at the end of the season so he won't have to leave us.

100% agree. Plus his record no way matches his reputation, has achieved very little after 30 years in management.
