    QPR talisman Adel Taarabt has signed a new long-term contract at Loftus Road, tying him to the Club until the summer of 2016

    TAARABT: 'I am very pleased to have signed this new contract. The Club is getting bigger and bigger, and with a new training ground and talk of a new stadium it is very exciting.'

    HUGHES: 'It's important we keep good, young players at QPR because that is going to drive what we want to do and Adel is a big part of that.'

    Adel will wear the number 10 shirt next season.

    Excellent news.....watching him and his skills are worth the entry fee alone.....he can change games with his skill and now after signing such a long extension, he really will be putting his all....reckon he will bloom this season with quality around him.

    Definetley some of the best news of the summer so far.

    Maybe Adel will now respond to the faith shown in him, a four-year deal is a statement of intent. I think he could be in for a big season...

    I doubt that's the case. I'd imagine that still stands unless there is a timelimit on it which I doubt.

    Ths is really good news; some of his newspaper interviews last year were painful to read and talk about, now that he is committed to us until 2016 sends a strong message of unity of purpose and reflects TF, PB and Amits desire to tie up what we need to. Wonderful!!
