The guy has been getting alot of stick, but I actually think he will do us a good job. I personally think he is exactly what Fryatt needs, someone big and strong, will help him collect more goals then he already does, cant judge a player before the season has started and before he has even played a game for us. COYH
Well said. Totally agree. maybe the fans who have had a go at him should ask Wayne Brown or simply watch the Wembley game again. He is the ideal foil for Matty Fryatt. Just hope we can get in the crosses from the flanks.
Yes lets go ask Wayne Brown!! Have you got his number or shall i just pop round with one of Alan Jones steak and kidney pies and ask personally. He hasnt been signed to partner Fryatt, he has been signed for when we are desperate and launching hit and hope balls in to the box in the last 20 minutes. So for the previous 70 minutes we are going to be the same as last season, no physical presence who can hold it up for the others to play off.
Adam Pearson reckons he's one of the fittest players at the club and Adebola said on the ITV interview that he'd declined an easier bleep test to do the same work as the others. I think he'll generally be a plan B but I wouldn't rule out him starting in some games, roughing up their centre halves and doing the leg work for a Simmo or McLean to come off the bench. We have a much better squad than last season, in that we can play almost any formation and with a variety of different players. We're a fit Cameron Stewart and another centre half from being pretty much perfect outfield, I feel.
How do you know ? Have you just got off a plane after meeting with Nigel Pearson by chance ? Has he told you this ? I would bet that NP will look at a Fryatt/Adebola combo to see how they fair. It shall be interesting looking at the formations used in the pre-season games. But to write the guy off before he has kicked a ball for us is simply stupid.
No but i can make an educated guess. A 36 year old CC player, who hasnt made more than 5 or 6 starts in the last 2 years. Yes he will be on from the start wont he?
Thats the thing, now we have a variety of options and different opinions on who people would play so I believe that's a good thing.
