Following from his stellar performance yesterday, is it conceivable that we go for him (or play for us) in the summer whether we lose RVP or not. Or is the hatred from fans so much, they would rather Evra (nasty little poop) than see Adebayor dorn an Arsenal shirt. I think he is miles better than what we currently have upfront, apart from RVP of course.

He is miles better then what we have apart from Robin but that does mean we can't find better options around the world. Ade will be very low down on my list of targets.

I see your point re:talent/options around the world....... Realistically, can we compete and sign these players? As regards strikers, we have had a few false dawns! For 8mill, which is what I think is what Adebayor could go for, we really cannot do any wrong (What is our valuation of nb52?) ..... the only stumbling block is whether the fans are willing to forgive and forget coupled with the fact that he has played for the enemy!

he's a nice guy (actually) and a good player. wage demands would be too high tho. he's only on loan at spurs, with man city paying half his wages.

I know his wages at Citeh are atronomically huge.... Surely any player who leaves Citeh (apart from Tevez), should expect a massive wage cut! I don't think anyone can match the wages paid by the oil rich sheikhs.

I wouldn't have sold him when we did, despite his clamour to play for 'Beyonce' and his lazy as **** attitude in that last season.

That said, he is an enigmatic player, unplayable on his day and great when everything is going well around him. It's when the going gets tough that he becomes a petulant little ****.

For all his talent, I think it would be a huge risk taking him back to Arsenal.

Well you say we should not have sold him when we did.... Well the money on offer by the sheikhs was too good to turn down. I just think citeh would be willing to take a massive loss on him. With every player you sign there are risks, least of all adaptability to the the club and the premier league..... With Ade he knows what we about, he knows the league as well..... Look at Torres, he is a shadow of his former self, how much did he cost again? Now that is a risk, at a cost of our mythical war chest!

    errr ..... no

hes a lazy bugger , hes only performing at spurs coz hes got something to prove.

We have seen it at Arsenal and Man City have also seen his lazy ass side.

If he came back to us he would be back into his second gear mode within a month .

I know football is a very emotive game, but we should not let emotions and sentiments get in the way of facts. I wonder how many bad games he had for us compared to the good ones. Arshavin/Chamakh has been bad consistently for a season now, but I will not say he is a lazy ass (as you kindly put it).

If we do sign him back we'll get the worst of him.

He'll see it as with him we did good, and now we have to get him back because we're ****e without him, so h's the top dog he wants everything and cant be arsed

No because Spurs will probably finish above us and will offer the same price and wages, and he'd choose them because of the fans' opinions.

If we need a striker (Which I don't think we will if Campbell and Wellington get permits, unless RVP leaves) then I'd rather we went for someone like Gonzalo Higuain (As a swap for Van Persie, they give us cash too)

Buy back a player we sold for 25 mil. A player that some section of our fans abused mercilessly. Great idea. <doh>

i would like someone with potential as back up to rvp. campbell if he can get a permit, but next season, if possible, i would like nicky b back at the emirates as he did at least offer us some height and heading ability (unlike chamakh) when we needed it.

Or someone like Demba Ba. Maybe we can back to 4-4-2 next season. There is all sorts of possibilities. We are back in the top 4 and hopefully we stay there so we can consider these options.

I would definately go for him, i said in the summer that we should have signed him, he has everything and would offer us a real physical presence, he is on fire and is a class act, definately worth a look at in the summer. Because i don't know whether spurs will sign him permanently or not.

Are you insane Ade would cost allot more than that, that's why Spurs cant afford him. Personally I wouldn't want him back.
