As we all know they are rubbish from the North Upper. Like Saturday sitting in H block we were pretty load and all you hear from tgeh away support you dont sing, the amount of times i go home with no voice is crazy. Now not being a expert, is teh accoustic problem becasuse the North Upper is higher than the East, Jimmy Seed stand so just get slost in thin air?? Would a move to the Lower for the singers improve this? Its shocking how much stick we get fro not singing when clearly we do
I commented on this in a thread on Saturday. I was in the North Upper as always. Great atmosphere brewing last Saturday until 2.30 when Mr Smashy and Nicey himself, Dopey Dave Lockwood, grabbed the mike and began screeching his 1980s cliches. What does more for the atmosphere, The Covered End giving a full on rendition of Valley Floyd Road, or Lockwood "lets get behind the boys and make some noise"
I think it's because the Jimmy Seed stand has metal sides which project the sound outwards, whereas the Upper North has people to either side. Try talking or making a noise in an empty room, and then put half-a-dozen people in the same room and make the same sound, and you'll see how much sound people actually absorb.
Is that when the asylum workers come rushing in and your cries of insanity are drowned out? And then it all goes black...
Is you saying that the Valley is so quiet during match days is because there are so many people in it?
How can you shut it not all sing and some like it up there, you cant force people out, maybe to encourage people into the lower if it proven the accoustics are better, offer a free move down to the lower as i think its cost more to sit down there, plus we wont all fit in. Got to be logical Jonno
I have got a novel idea, why don't we try to get the lapsed fans back. Or maybe Roland can splash the cash in January and we can get promotion. Then the plastics/ glory hunters/ other Clubs fans can return.
