SLF answers all the questions that we have posed on here recently. Here is an honest interview with our DOF and the reasons behind them.

I had the utmost respect for him when he was a player. He was the best QPR player I have ever seen live.

I was delighted when he returned to the club. To date, as a DOF, he has not impressed me at all. I hope he can do something to make me change my mind.

Les needs to understand the people chuck in the hiring black mates reference comes from his unbelievably stupid hiring of Chris Ramsey. Personally I’m not really bothered about who he hires at the academy or the new goalkeeping coach. But he got his way and the messageboards didn’t kick up against it we probably would have hired Sherwood so far. Because he’s his mate. Same as the defence he used of Perry Suckling is his mate.

Ramsey was a bloke who had no managerial experience. Took over a side that was above Leicester in the league and then over the next 4 months did nothing to suggest he deserves to stay on in this role or was ready for the role as manager. Anyone who was at Leicester last game of the season with any doubts about that had those doubts erased (With the exception of Les). Then when you look at Ramsey’s CV against say Warburton who was unattached and he makes a decision to hire Ramsey you have to question his motivation because those 2 cvs were so unbalanced it was seen by many as a joke that Ramsey got the job and so it proved!

So when you look at how outspoken he Les been about the Rooney rule and then look at the choice of Ramsey over Warburton (or whoever else really) then Les needs to accept that people will rightly bring race into it because it was Les that brought the question of race into managerial appointments in the first place.

Then interviewing likes of Chris Powell was just ridiculous and by even considering him was just adding fuel to this theory because he is a failure. No one has an issue with the hiring of JFH. Actually it is looked at positively because he has earned that right. Ramsey had not. Powell had not.

No one has an issue with a black manager getting the job but they do have issues with a manager getting the job because he is black and QPR become a vehicle for Les’ own personal crusade.

So when he Les says stuff like:

“"The worst thing in the world - and I had this conversation with an ex-chairman of mine - is what I call covert racism, being racist without realising," Ferdinand said.

"That's sometimes why black managers don't get the opportunity to be interviewed”

Les has done many good things but he needs to take out his personal grievances with the low % of black managers in the game out of his thinking. Because with the appointment of Chris Ramsey rather than a more successful, proven and appropriate white candidate he should know that it may come across that he himself might be going down the same route without realising it of the ex-chairman of his.

If we just miss out on the playoffs this year that is down to Ramsey and also therefore down to Les. There have been a lot of positives of Les’ time so far but he needs to recognise his mistakes to move forward.

A hero of ours without doubt and he was very open and natural IMO. Not sure what people expect from him he seems to be returning the club to the ground after a period of crazy going ons. I liked the bit about JFH and he does have a presence about him. Ian Taylor himself came across a lot more natural. So far to me this all look like normal human beings … from where we were it seemed to enhance a environment where people were scared to do their jobs.

Looks to me that they have identified the damage the club has impacted on the fans over the last 6-7 years growing us all into fickle hungry starlings … want want want. We need to grounded again and SLF looks to be influencing that slowly. TF taking a back seat will have benefits and I think if you measure that over th next 6 months you will see a change. SLF answers some tricky stuff here and Ian Taylor wasn't afraid to ask these questions

I found it all very refreshing

I'll look at it later, but the phrase 'fickle hungry starlings' will live with me for a long time. Nice one.

We also learnt today about the calibre of Chris Ramsey in football as the FA want him back
A QPR fan may say good … bugger off
The fact is he has so move on Mr Peter
Time we looked and understood what we have become as a fan base
The club has acknowledged it has got it very wrong in the past
SLF is absolutely right IMO about black managers

QPR in the past has ruined good managers, and players alike all attracted by the money

To have a hero at the club who has the club at heart must be given a full chance IMO

I'm just picking up at what Les talks about from 22.20.

He needs to get that chip off his shoulder and put the club before perceived social injustice

Funny enough it comes up around bringing Ramsey back as a youth coach. I actually think Ramsey is great for that role. But 1st team manager was a whole other thing

Thanks for putting that up Nines. Very informative and Les comes over very well. JFH has made a positive start, but we are still12th, just 1 place above where we were when Ramsey was sacked if I remember right. Lots of good signs, defending better, but goals have dried up and we haven't really gone further yet. Let's hope the good signs give us the points that put us in the top 6 by January, which will probably better enable us to keep the likes of Austin and Phillips for a real shout at promotion for the last part of the season.
