Been nervous all after noon about this one and couldnt bare to watch expecting to see the same old away result. But thank fook we got the win qpr are a poor side but I had forgotten what 3 pts felt like so dont care what the performance was like. Great result to with wigan losing I feel a slight bit of optimism coming over me aint had, that for a while Come on Stoke
Same here mate didnt dare watch was gonna not look. Just kept gettin updates from a mate Big sigh of relief
Six points ahead of Wigan and believe it or not we have a much better goal difference. COME ON STOKE!! COME ON STOKE!! COME ON STOKE!! Premiership next season. I always new it. lol
Watched the match between my fingers in the first half. Free kick after free kick on the edge of the box but their shooting was dreadful. We were poor first half for me, kept letting Taarabt pick the ball up behind our central midfield and run at the defence. Goal settled us and I never thought we would lose from there. Second half gave them no real space but they lost their best two players and had nothing else. Played alright overall but result is all that matters-brill
Phew! Well chuffed, I went for a long walk this afternoon so that I wouldn't be tempted to listen to updates or sneak a look on line. Didn't know the results until 6pm. Still need 3pts perhaps but much relieved today.
Jesus WEPT.. Fantastic result, even better given the other results bar Wigan losing... phew. WHY Adam came off I don't know but I missed the 2nd goal.. I too went for a walk around the block.. Thread title is bang on for me. Listening to the game first half and a bit, sounds like we at least had a GO? Let's hope we can now get that one more win. Knackered because I was so nervous, just listening.
I bloody well did too. Great result guys, hopefully that will go a long way to keeping you in the prem.
Jesus I've just taken a looksee at your profile... Quality the best quote for me was "Ferry cross the Mersey? No thanks Gerry I'll walk"
I, too, `bottled `the 2nd half.Great relief, when emerging from my greenhouse, to hear that we`d won! We`ve now beaten 2 teams since our `historic` win against Liverpool on Boxing Day. BOTH Championship teams !!!! So let`s not get carried away. Having watched the match on `Football first` on Sky the underlying problems are still there. We will probably just escape relegation now as Wigan are in effect 7 pts adrift of us, but in all honesty I think next season unless there are drastic changes we`ll go down.
Joe, Villa haven't got the easiest of run ins but we still need more points and a managerial change straight after the last game.
Totally agree Jowl. My fear is that if we stay up his position will have strengthened and all this seasons woes will be forgotten. Let`s be honest although we beat an already beaten team yesterday Whelan,Shotton,Whitehead and Walters were all on the pitch and come next season, if TP is still there, so will they be!!
That would be the worse case for all of us i think, hopefully the rumblings from the club will bare fruit and he will gone.
Even QPR fans said about there own team quote " Too many of our player's don't give a ****" and " S.W.P. was seen leaving the ground early a Ranger's fan saw him" It's a win an AWAY win and it gives us a good chance now of staying up... IF we can beat them AWAY.. Why didn't we even get started vs Reading, Villa and Utd we should have had a go. We didn't that is the Managers fault. OUT ASAP as soon as the season is over. And let's ship all the dead wood while we're at it.
Ric Just find my comment about that, made during the 2nd half. My blood pressure shot through the roof.
