I’m not being heartless here, but I really don’t agree or understand this fairly recent practice of stopping and then abandoning games due to medical emergencies in the crowd

Would they stop a rock concert or the London Marathon etc for the same reason ? I don’t think so, and then there’s the thousands of people who have travelled, made special arrangements to get to the game, especially the away fans.

It seems to be the ‘in thing’ and yet I don’t remember it ever happening at a Premiership game when Sky or whoever have paid millions to screen the game ?

I might be wrong though ?

Is my memory playing tricks on me, or did the drummer in the pre/half time marching band, collapse and later pass away once at BS3, many years ago?

I don’t remember that but I’m not saying it didn’t happen
As I said I’m not being heartless and I do feel for the afflicted person at Charlton who has sadly passed away and their family

But all clubs have full medical facilities plus the Ambulance service in attendance, there’s not a lot more that anyone could have done
