Bought my young lad his first QPR shirt last week. He's finally come over to my side. Anyhow, we're out for lunch. He in his new Hoops and all. Looking good. Chuffed Father. And a good friend of mine comes up and says..........."aaaaah you're a Reading fan!!" Aaaaargh! Think I'm gonna change my name to gimmethickerhoopsaswellnowquick
I am proud when my son wears his blue and white hoops, not like other glory hunters wearing United, Chelsea, etc. jerseys, even if a lot of people don't recognise the jersey. Notice how rare it is to see a youngster wearing a Liverpool jersey nowadays!
My 6 year old has the hoops kit , but like all kids like kits of other teams. He has an England one and a barcelona kit ( for obvious footballing reasons ). He said to me today 'Dad i like the Man Utd kit' , I gave him a look of disgust and he then says ' but i know i can never have it, but they do play good football '. Glad for him to acknowledge the good football, but also glad he acknowledges it will never be a shirt he will wear. did make me chuckle...
I take it he's not a good friend anymore! in fact he'd be a dead friend. I know people who know people if you need a favour....
My line manager is a reading fan, I've started saying "ooh reaading were unlucky at the weekend" evey time I see him. Started a couple of weeks back just for a laugh. So If anyone needs a Network technician/domain admin drop me a line?
