Off topic, but a girl I went to Uganda with sent me a video she made of our time there...Thought I might as well post it on here to say thanks to everyone who donated money, bumped the thread or just put up with me constantly bleating on about it..

Had a massive grin on my face ever since watching it like, best thing I've ever done!

Glad you had a great time mate, just watched it and looks like you got really connected with the community.

I haven't been to many places, but the places I have, I found Africa to be the best.

Are you going to do something like it again next year? Just let us know again, I'll sponsor you...or even get involved, I'd love to do it again.

Don't think I can go this year...Can't afford to, plus I have a summer dissertation. I was talking to a few lads over here though and we were on about possibly collecting a load of old footy strips/boots/shinpads etc. and raising money to get them shipped over. Gunna try and do the full marathon this time, so I'll no doubt be on begging for more money if I can get my finger out!

Wow. Their culture is amazing and would love to see it for myself.

Do they go out of their way for visitors or is it always like that? Either way, sensational way to live.

I've been to South Africa, Morocco and China in the past year, and the South Africans were generally the best lot of people out of them

    Hope you enjoyed it <ok>

Must have been an experience of a lifetime - can't even imagine how rewarding it would be. Definitely plan to do something like this in the next 5 years or so

I think my ginger complexion would prevent me from ever doing something like this unfortantly :(

Great video, but are they dancing 24 hours a day?

Aye, its Ugandan culture to feed people who come to their homes, no matter how little they have. They've got a huge party culture as well, they live for the weekend more than people here, finish work on a friday afternoon and will hit the club friday and saturday night (starting from about 9 at night, clubs close when there's no more people there).

People are amazingly friendly as well, lads will come up to you and say "Hi, how is your day?" answer them and they'll just say "OK, I'm glad, goodbye" and wander off.
