I did not believe in Him. When I watched him I saw ghosts of the old false prophets such as Devon White and Mike Sheron. Before I went to the temple of Loftus Road I would pray that his name was not among the appointed. I knew he was sorely afflicted but gave him no sympathy. I bow my head in shame to remember the blasphemy that came from my lips when Saint Charlie was injured: "I'd rather we played with 10 men than have him come on."

And then the signs began. Little things at first but things the congregation of our small church had not witnessed for many months and which were therefore like miracles: the ball held up in the opposition half or flicked on to another in the holy blue and white. Could it be true? Had I wronged Him so badly

And then came the day we visited the great cathedral. It was half way through the service when the thunderclouds broke overhead and sunshine flooded down on to the hordes of acolytes gathered there. I knew it to be the sign we had waited for so long and I shouted with joy to all who would listen: "He is here, and He will save us today." And so it came to pass that even as the devil struck down one of his disciples - tempted by Satan's oldest trick of the 'professional foul' - he appeared before us. And just as the great celebration was reaching its climax he struck the ball like a flaming spear into the goal.

I was saved. I joined the thousands of acolytes in praise of His name: oooooohhhhh Bobby Zamora!

Good post, I said earlier on here he owes us the winning goal at Wembley, and he obliged. Give him another year. Has anyone noticed when he has his back to go and we are attacking he directs the play and always seems to be making the right call.

Brilliant post AAAAAGH. All sane Judges would agree that He has done the Job, His Acts have been worthy of Kings and hope that he is not part of this summer's Exodus. In short he has been a Revelation.

I'm amazed that you didn't get a 'Genesis' in there mate. Perhaps we needed a JENASis for that to have worked?

    Great OP AAAAAGH.

Wegot back to my brothers place in St Albans about half seven - he's the Gooner - singing 'oooooooh Bobby Zamora' til about 1am when I passed out through sheer exhaustion and excess Guinness and champagne

When he came on as sub I thought - 'we're doomed now'

I take it all back. Big game player is Bobby, Wigan and wembley showed what he does for the team

I saw this song for Zamora sang to "that's amore" which is usually reserved for more disparaging chants about Our Bobby.....

When your first shot goes in, and you steal the win,

    That's Zamora!

    Made me chuckle anyway :)

Love it, AAAAAGH! Not many games ago, when Bobby was coming on as sub, someone near us in S block shouted - here comes our saviour! - with tongue firmly in cheek and we all laughed.

When he's fit, Zamora still has it. We've seen pale imitations, Betty Bothroyd springs to mind. B Z is the real deal.

Reminds me of a tweet I saw last night from a Forest fan to Derby FC..............

'' When the ball hits your net and you're stood there upset......that's Zamora.''
