Hi Lads, Just a quick question...my missus's Dad is giving me his season ticket on Saturday as he's going to the Cricket and I'm doing some work for him. Problem is...he's an OAP so I was wondering if anyone has tried to use their season ticket as a concession and my questions are: do they scan it in and will they check? Has anyone else done something similar? Should I e-mail the club and ask or will that be stupid? If I get rumbled will I have to pay an upgrade or buy an entirely new ticket? And before you all starting having a go, I am a poor young man and I will buy a season ticket (or half season ticket) for myself as soon as I have collected the required pennies. I have been to see City play 3 times this season but I am absolutely brass tacks. Cheers guys. PS Nicky Maynard would be beaut but I be doing this til he signs on the dotted line.
I wouldn't worry about it, they are only installing these scanners in September, and even then, I doubt they'll be arsed to stop people trying to get in for cheaper. I've already got quite a few u12 tickets for my adult/u22 mates and had no problems getting in. Just to be safe don't show them your face until they hand the ST back, but you'll be fine
They are checked by the person on the turnstile. They still arent electronic yet. I think you may be best going to the ticket office and paying the difference this time
same as above- im 19 but always get U16 or whatever it is. Just give it to them then walk through, dont show your face when you give it. They dont care, it doesnt affect their wage, they are merely paid to let people through the doors.
im officially an old git now so for thge first time i have a concession the card is identical to everyone elses except it says senior in quite small letters. the turnstile operator just wants to get the queue in the gate so pick a busy time and go in--the seat is after all paid for
