I don't give a **** about the fact that we had two shots all game. We went away from home and kept a clean sheet against a side fighting for their lives too. We are not going to play flowing football so some of us should stop ****ing moaning and support our ****ing team! We just need to keep scrapping hard. If we can grind out a win on Tuesday night we will be possibly 7 clear with 8 games to go with Coventry and Barnsley yet to come to the Gate. So congratulations guys keep scrapping away. Come on you reds!
Well said Matt, i could not of put it better myself. People ought to see positives instead of the negatives! Results went for us but I think both you and me are happy today for some reason
what i like to see a bit of optimism and faith Watford wont be easy but its a game we can win, lets hope we do COME ON YOU REDS
Haha you're right red but I would have swapped a grand slam for 3 points today any day of the week. Sorry Wiz I thought it was 8 to go. Wish it was 4 clear with 1 to go though lol. Would love to sit back and enjoy the Burnley game on the last day! I just can't believe people are moaning about our style of football! Yes it's not pretty but we are hardly going to change with 9 games to go. Lets just scrap and survive then worry about our style of play in August!
A point isnt bad given most of the other teams lost around us but yet again we failed to trouble their goal. Hope wood starts in next game with the instructions to stay central and get the balls in to him. Watching some of the game recently stead crosses the ball more than the wide players yet he should be the one in the box getting the goals. As a striker you wont get goals playing out wide
A point away from the Gate is a mighty good point in view of our away performances of late. But yes Matt and Redordead, I had one ear on Radio Bristol but two eyes on our boys at the Millenium. 3 Grand Slams in the last few years will have my old man and his father jumping around in their graves!
The lads exceeded my expectations by a) not conceding **** loads of goals and b) we didn't lose so my predictions of us not getting a single point away from home for the rest of the season was wrong, and I couldn't be happier. Having said that, from the reports I've seen and heard we were 2nd best for a lot of the match.
In previous matches with that sort of pressure we crumbled, so I take yesterday as a step forward to hold out teams. Yes with better finishing Pompy could of scored a shed load. But equally if Cisse was 2 inches more forward he would of connected with the cross when the net was open! So we got a point no one pulled further away we with stood an onslaught overall we were lucky, luck has not been something we could claim to be on our side this season. Maybe the tide is turning. Yes Cidered Abroad I was the same listening to the football whilst watching the rugby, not the easiest thing to do!
this was classic case of we cant afford to get beaten and the game reflected this. often it is harder to play for a result like this than to go out and possibly outscore the other side. remember Pomps are really 19th in the league but for......... When I said DERBY County were going to be one of greatest allies I was not far off the mark thats 2 results , thanks Derby! Watford potentially we will be 7 clear, DONNY have an extra home game in hand and compared to us a better home record!! I would say teams IN 11TH TO 16TH ARE NOW SAFE WE need at least 3 wins and 3 draws to stand a chance!
