Well - just wanted to say lads - had a fab weekend up in london. Came up to watch the swans lift the league cup with my first visit to wembley. That in itself was fantastic as you can imagine - but also stayed up in Finsbury Park so we could soak up the atmosphere in a local pub for the arsenal game.

Went to the 12 pins in the end, and had a great time watching the villa game - right result too! Hope none of you mistaked our swans scarfs on the sunday as spud scarfs!

Capped off the weekend with the emirates stadium tour - fantastic value, and an experience I will long remember!

Look forward to seeing you all down here in coming weeks! <ok>

As I have mentioned on here before - I have been a gooner since about the age of 6 - but also supported by local team the swans. Never been a conflict of interest in the past.....find myself not enjoying the games when we play each other now - but atleast its an opportunity to see arsenal more regularly! Also nice to support two clubs that share similar philosophies, and try to achieve results the right way - not being bank rolled by multi-millionairres!

I'm glad you had a good day mate. It's a shame that you didn't mention you were down sooner as our supporters club had 7 spare tickets for the Villa game.I was well chuffed about the Swans winning as it was great for Welsh football in general. With you winning the LC,Cardiff on top of the Championship and Wrexham top of the Conference and also getting to Wembley.Even BBC Wales are starting to mention football more than ****ing rugby <laugh>

Whats that about a coach ;-)

Certainly is good for welsh football gunnercymraeg. Newportin with a shout too. I actually would like to see cardiff promoted. No point in having a rivalry if you never play eachother! Next time im up london ill give you a shout in case there are tickets floating about!

Anyone wanting any advice on your trip down just drop me a message!!

I was brought up on an estate where the land was originally owned by a bloke called Bevan who was from that neck of the woods. There was an Oxwich and a Gower road there.

I thought the Gower was the Mumbles ? I've been to Rhosilli and it's beautiful, there's also a great beach (don't know the name) but it's got a huge arch on it, maybe it's called three churches or something ? Lovely place. But Swansea I thought was a bit of a dump and I got my old Volvo broken into, smashed the drivers window and I had to drive back to London with the wind tearing my earhole up <grr>

Some people pay for that in convertables (me included ;)) There are dodgy area's in Swansea as with any city I guess.....

Mumbles is a village at the end of Swansea bay (nice but gets very busy). The Gower peninsula is the kind of leg branching off beneath swansea on a map - covers a wide area of about 20 square miles or so. Some of the best beaches in the UK. You might be thinking of Three Cliffs.
