As you all know (because you are the ones that do it) I get regularly slated for being a stayaway, fickle and non-hardcore fan etc etc.

Well, you also all know how much I like to take the alternative viewpoint so how's this for food for thought??:

Ridsdale, why is he here? He is here to make money or to restore his reputation or both. The only way he is going to make any money or restore his reputation is to get more people through the gate at Argyle. The only way he is going to get more people through the gate at Argyle is to make the club a darn sight more successful than it is now.

Which brings me on to my point.

If we all get behind the club now and turn up in our tens of thousands for the new season then Riddler is laughing. He will make loads of money for doing absolutely nothing other than having bought a club for a quid. If on the other hand he turns up on day one of the season and there are only 3,000 bums in the crowd then he will be sent a firm finger from the good folk of Plymouth that says "Mr Ridsdale if you want money and fame you first have to make this club good again." This is a 2 way deal with 2 very different agendas that are fused together. He wants money and fame, we want a decent club back. It's a stand-off if you like. We have to play a game of chess or poker and hold our cards close to our chest. If we give him what he wants straight away up front then we won't get what we want because there will be no driver or incentive for him to make the club good again, he can sit back and count up the gate receipts thank you very much, cheers easy, take the money and run. Do you think he would plough it back into the club?

Or we can make the barsteward work for his money? what would you rather?

My point is (if you haven't guessed already) that the vast legions of stayaways are actually doing the club greater good for the long term than the loyal sheep that remain faithful and follow through anything.

Ridsdale doesn't have to win over the Sensibles of this world, they have already stated they will follow through thick and thin, through any league or level. That's admirable but ultimately weak and defeatist. It is the people like me and the several thousand other stayaways that Riddler has to crack before we will give him what he wants (our money). The stayaways are going to be the people that force improvement to be made first. Give him what he wants now and we lose what we want.

It's vital that you remember Ridsdale is here for Ridsdale. We have to work tirelessly to squeeze out of him every possible last benefit for Plymouth Argyle. It starts with making him work his little fingers to the bone on 'pitch matters' before we give him an inch.

So its taken you almost a whole football season to come up with this reason why people should stay away from Argyle again?

You are the biggest ****er I have had the misfortune to come across DS. I now urge anyone else who uses this site to totally ignore you and not respond to any of your drivel anymore. You are are slimeball of the highest order and much like the other prick who infests this site, Steelthunderballs, I don't know your reason for hating Plymouth Argyle and I really don't care, but **** off you sad scouse twat in a shell suit and go infest another sport like synchronised swimming because you must know as much about synchronised swimming as you do football.

No-one wants you at Argyle you tosser! Why the **** would anyone want your carcass through the turnstile? If there really are football Gods DS, I would sacrifice your sorry body without batting an eyelid, for a change of fortune. Throwing your maggot ridden corpse into a volcano in exchange for an upturn in our fortunes sounds a great deal to me.

NOW GET THE MESSAGE ****FORBRAINS, **** OFF, DON'T COME BACK, YOU ARE NOT AN ARGYLE FAN, YOU NEVER WILL BE, NOBODY LIKES YOU AND YOUR VIEWS ARE AS WELCOME AS A BACON SANDWICH AT A BARMITZVAH

Er - Hi Jock, as somebody said about one of my recent posts:

DON'T SIT ON THE FENCE, SAY WHAT YOU REALLY THINK

He had a go at ME, totally ignoring the fact that I have tried to help him.

I am really thinking about abandoning him to the outer reaches of Millbay Docks.

I originate not from Stoke, but from Glasgow, just opposite Firhill Park, home of the Maryhill Magyars, would love to see that 2@ anywhere near those terraces in those days or these days either - perhaps we can get him a season ticket to the Jags, cancellable after one game!!

How's the bairn (or loon as they say in Aberdeen) all going well I trust.

All the best to you and all - except........

He absolutley makes my blood boil and I know where you're coming from, he wouldn't last five minutes if he ever showed his face near me either. Anyway I don't want to grace his post any longer so will leave it there for now!

Can some people not understand basic economics ? Yes mr rissole will sell the club and make money as soon as he can but to make money he has To have a successful club. Actually that is what I want.....a successful club so I will not care if he sells it on to somebody with greater funds. If the downward spiral is stopped and reversed then I will be very happy. I see Leeds and Cardiff on the up now having changed hands. Why not argyle ? What is the difference in generally successful clubs and others ? A big fan base. Do not stay away. Money in will equal money out. The more in the better the players and hence the football. Staying away only punishes the true fans. Turn out and make this club greater than it has ever been. Stay away and you don't have the right to comment.......

Yeah Mr Risdale is going to sign the amendments (god knows what they could be) of the contract tonight.

Again only hearing this not 100% accurate.

Can you imagine how pissed off he would be if nobody posted any comments on one of his masterpieces!
It might just sink into that thick skull of his what a waste of space he is.

What you do is what just happened. Ignore the thread subject, change it and then fill it up with loads of posts on the same subject. Imagine the glee at seeing 50 responses only for the gloom to set in when he finds it is not about his.

Do we actually know if the preferred bidder is going to cough up any more dosh or even how much it is likely to be? To be honest as long as the deed is signed I don't suppose I'm that bothered at the moment what the content is. Lets face it we aren't going to get any sort of golden deal out of all of this are we and none of us truely expected us to from the start. I assume this means we can sign players on and get on with it. Peter Reid will have someone else to train with instead of just having to play keepy uppy.

Greenjock and Oldnickyb, you are such hardmen, threatening from behind your keyboards, very hard and so impressive. Resoting to threats of physical violence over an internet forum? You guys are about as hard as wet farts.

Greenjock you need to get a life mate, getting that wound up over a silly internet forum which at the end of the day is just a bit of fun. Do you honestly think I sit around all day stewing about Argyle? This is just a bit of fun and a place to occasionally vent a bit of an opinion on something you have an opinion on, don't take it so seriously you plonker.

What is it about jocks and mindless threats of violence? Living up to your reputations as a nation of short-fused, thin-lipped angry lunatics. Fine pair of ambassadors you are.
