Just nicked this off the Saints board, I thought some might find it mildly interesting... League Table 1. Southampton 47 2. West Ham 44 3. Middlesbrough 44 4. Cardiff 39 5. Hull 39 6. Reading 36 7. Blackpool 35 8. Leeds 35 Home League Table 1. Southampton 34 2. Cardiff 23 3. Birmingham 22 4. Blackpool 21 5. Portsmouth 21 6. Middlesbrough 21 7. Hull 21 Away League Table 6. Reading 17 7. Cardiff 16 8. Crystal Palace 15 9. Blackpool 14 10. Brighton 14 11. Southampton 13 12. Barnsley 13 Goals Scored 1. Southampton 47 2. Peterborough 42 3. West Ham 38 4. Cardiff 37 5= Leeds 36 5= Blackpool 36 7. Burnley 35 Goals Conceded 1. Middlesbrough 19 2. West Ham 21 3= Crystal Palace 22 3= Reading 22 5. Hull 23 6= Southampton 24 6= Birmingham 24 6= Portsmouth 24 Games Won 1. Southampton 14 2. West Ham 13 3= Middlesbrough 12 3= Hull 12 5= Cardiff 10 5= Reading 10 5= Leeds 5= Burnley 10
To fill in the top of that away table: 1. West Ham United 24 (+10) 2. Middlesbrough 23 (+5) 3. Leeds United 18 (+5) =. Hull City 18 (0) =. Burnley 18 (-2) 6. Reading 17 (2) Goal difference in brackets. Oh, and we're 14th on the Goal scored table, same as Brum (but having played 2 more games). We've lost as many games as Leicester and Watford, 5 more than Boro, 3 more than West Ham and twice as many as Southampton and Cardiff. We're up there because we've drawn so few, hence the 12 wins.
Obviously I'm likely to have some bias, but I think of the losses we've had, hardly any teams have actually outplayed us. We seem to totally dominate these games but bugger up for some stupid reason, usually a whole host of missed chances. If we had avoided stupid losses in games which we play well like West Ham, Boro, Burnley, Blackpool, Barnsley we would probably be top now! I'm not saying we should win every game, but the way we've played in these games we could well have picked up points in most of them. It's frustrating looking at the table and considering where we might have been up to with a bit more luck.
