Rarely post on here. Been going regular since 76 with a break around 2002 - 2004 when lived abroad. I know a lot of you on here live overseas so posting a few views from yesterday from those I sit with drink with, heard on the train and in the ticket office!!

EVERYONE near me in the SA stand - why did SWP start the game. Given this - he seemed to have a bit more confidence when he was playing more centrally at the end. I saw the first traditional SWP 'run' at about 80 mins which I had only seen on TV before coming to play for us. Taken all season.

Barton - I was one of those who said we should never sign this - my argument was all about the negativity, supposed racism, attitude and ego of the mad vs his play - had always rated him. Not sure what he give vs Derry vs ability to run for 90 mins. I would rather have had Sean on the pitch. Would he not have calmed down our debutant a bit better - he was our captain (unofficial) that led us last year - don;t we miss him now.

Kenny - form has really really dropped. What is this all about? Again seems to be confidence. not the same player. I now get worried when any ball comes near - he did one great save yesterday tho.

Adel - what is Barton on about - he was outstanding in my opinion - he takes shots - is not as selfish as he was - he put in about 4 tackles well that regained position which was never part of his game - he did loose the ball a few times - but you get this with flair players - I saw the tail end of stanley - same stuff. We need to support the kid and we could have a great run in.

Fulham fans on the train felt lucky to get through the second half vs only 10 men. I know we did not score but we gave a game and with a better day - could have sneaked it. Some of you think I am having rose tinted glasses here - I left the ground suicidal like most but in the cold sunday light - not as depressed. The way I see it we have a good roller coaster ride to the end - we could surprise a few people. Enjoy the ride , support your team etc - hence coming to the ground, missing weddings, meetings, family do' etc for over 20 years. I hate the people who booed the team off at half time and full time - why bother coming if you are booing your team. Barton apart.

Finally - maybe a bit of confirming gossip from the ticket office - who looked miserable as well after the game - hints that on the 'team bonding trip' there was indeed a punch up between the players with players taking sides and that people not talking to each other in the dressing room etc etc - this bit worries me most - please Derry take charge. I have never before hoped that one of our players gets to miss a few games but hoping that Barton for whatever reason vanishes from our midst as soon as possible.

    Enough.

I agree Barton must go as he is not for our team, why do you think Newcastle let him go? It was said that he upset the dressing room, could be true!

Newcastle let him go cos he said something about Mike Ashley.

The rumour was a bust-up between Cisse and Hill.

Very good post and, if all the rumours about team dis-harmony are true, that above all else will see us relegated. MH must sort it out now!!

I don't want to get anyone in trouble but we happened to be with a number of QPR staff after the game and they talked about ego's and the huge money spent on flying everyone out to Portugal only for a worse team morale to return. It seemed there was more than just the alleged punch up with Hill and Cisse. Still I have hope tho - U R's!
