We both knew it would end some day but it is harder to take than I thought. We were a match made in heaven. I showed you my love but in the end you just couldn't give it in return. Some come and go and break my heart but you stayed and showed me I could love again. You made me into a better person. I will never forget about you. It had to be so we could improve as people. I hope I can love like I loved you again... With Love, Norwich City fans Now please excuse me while I go to bed and cry!
Yes Dave - I saw that, yet he would only ever sign a 'one year rolling contract' with us. Feel a bit cheesed off about that too. Still, let's hope we soon hear who the next manager will be and I'm really hoping it won't be Steve Bruce!!!
Behemoth has worked out some kind of scheming contract with them which he'll worm him way out of at some point, it's the way of the beast.
The one year rolling contract will probably have been the Norwich board's decision. In their minds they were probably thinking they could not afford the compensation if they fired him with two years left on a contract, so it was safer to give him a one year rolling contract.
Lambert wanted a one year rolling deal to "keep him on his toes" but I always thought it was odd. It was always he respected the club enough that they could get rid if him at short notice if things went bad or he wanted to be able to leave if the right offer came in, I think the later now. Oh well, I appreciate what he has done but I feel he could have gone on better terms and tried to help secure us compensation out of respect. I'm more concerned that he will now be targeting the players we wanted in the summer for villa. And, if we don't move quickly for a new boss, we may be coming too late to the transfer party, so to speak.
The compensation would have been more or less the same, however he went. But I agree, the manner of his departure has been the worst part.
