........all the Conference, all of the games in Division 2 better then Colchester, Fleetwood, Leyton Orient, Rochdale (4k more), Yeovil (2k more) in Division 1 a couple of hundred less the MK Dons, 31 less the Port Vale, 41 less then the mighty Swindon ., around 2k less the Brentford in the Championship Wigan only had 12k so I say bloody good show to Gasheads yesterday.
plus some fans may have been put off as it was on the TV. im sure more grimsby fans would have turned up for example. good research seamge
Apologies... missed this post and just posted another similar one! Seems crackers doesn't it? I guess we're probably helping to subsidise the Conference...
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the crowd and their vocal support. They'll be a dip in numbers for the next home game, but that's to be expected.
Seamge, for your info..... Yesterday I took the official attendance from our OS. 7019. According to The Official Conference Site regarding our attendance.... "Official attendance recorded by club is given as 7069 with 452 in Grimsby area." https://twitter.com/conferencefooty/status/498538577522073600 So the club has told the Conference we had an extra 50 more! Therefore I checked our OS again and it now reads 7089. Now im really confused!!! The club has said 3 difference attendances! Makes no difference to the attendance league game because it doesnt effect the outcome which is still the same but im not sure what the actually attendance is. Going by the latest figure 7089 http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/grimsby-match-report-1815416.aspx that will put us above the likes of Swindon and Port Vale!
