Any away game in the cup is a potential banana skin, but I am confident we will progress past either of these.
I reckon we've got one of the harder ties tbh. Leeds away (assuming they get past Brum) is always a toughie. Still, if AVB keeps up his philosophy of 'going for it' then we should have more than enough to get by.
Birmingham have been crap since Hughton left so I'd rather we got them. As much as these aren't ties to be dismissed, if we have to play away I'd rather it was at sides like these, or a relegation threatened PL club. Like we've seen against Stevenage and countless other teams, playing on a crap 3rd division pitch is a great leveller for top players and it also leads to a crap match. Leeds in particular could give us a good game although I don't particularly fancy the trip.
I'd rather play Leeds than United, Chelsea, or Arsenal, at this stage. Let's all be thankful for small mercies.
My feelings date back to the horrible side of the late 60's early 70's - Bremner, Giles, Clarke et al. The fact that they were lauded as football icons is one of the greatest disgraces of modern football. Their fans have just tried to emulate that bunch of ****s ever since.
Leeds were thrashed by Chelsea weren't they so if they can do it then so can we. I'd prefer Leeds to shove it up Elland Back's arse.
He's on 7 yellows for the season! 115 in his career! lets hope he gets a straight red in one of their next 3 games, or a yellow in each.
I'd rather we played Leeds,Brum are crap and we alway's struggle against those sides, and play better against better sides.Plus Sutton played Leed's in 1970 and got stuffed 6-0,so Spurs can get more revenge for me,like the season before last.
Don't forseee you having any problem with Leeds, Warnock never has taken cups seriously. On the other hand Birmingham have done well in the competition of late. Either way Spurs could pretty much field a team that would beat them comfortably.
