13th August Spurs v Everton at WHL.

37 days to sell 1/2 dozen players and buy a couple. Plus preseason games in the USA, Harry & Levy have a busy old time on their hands.

They must have done a lot of the ground work but with all the agent fuelled rumours buzzing around, I suspect we do not have a clue what is being planned.

We should expect it all to happen in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Or will it all come down to the last day as usual. <yikes>

I hope they are working their bollox off to make sure the players are in and getting used to the team in pre-season. We need a good start this season to keep hold of the stars that we have. Otherwise they are off in Jan.

I have the awful feeling it's gonna be the last day when we have already played Everton, Man Utd and Man City.

I understand at the moment it's a sellers market and it's only the last few days when people get desperate to either sell/buy but why can't we have one year when our business is done n dusted by the beginning of the season.

I'd quite like to know how that conversation went!

Boss: Mr Perrymanlegend - "I pay you to sit on forums all day chewing the fat and looking for ITK, what news is there?"

    Perrymanlegend: "Typical Spurs, nothing yet"

We should have a ticker counter at the top of the page.

sorry, but all i hear about is the strikers being sold off and a new one or two being sought. Admittedly they failed to score second half of last season, and we blew it.
But, where is the goss about the defence?
(dead)woody gone, king knacker's yard, bassong ogne. Gallas bus pass( albeit stillpassable), corluka too fat.

Gomes aint gonna sit on the bench indefinitely and friedel is a short-term answer.
Our defence is as full of cripples as the trenches in the War.
    who do we need?

I think that you're overstating the frailty of our defence Ebar, but there are various rumours doing the rounds.

Bassong's basically gone and will be replaced.
Kaboul will play more often as a centre-back, with Walker taking Hutton's place as back-up at right-back.
That leaves us with King, Gallas, Dawson, Kaboul and one more to come in.

Gomes may still go and be replaced, as I've expected since our interest in Friedel was confirmed, but it all seems to have gone quiet on that front.
I thought he'd have been shipped out with Alnwick and we'd sign a young keeper to loan out and a senior journeyman-type to fill out the space, to be honest.
    It's a strange one.
