Jolly Rog plus 3 other high wage earners released by Wolves - no surprise there.

As it happens I have been away in the Poole/Bournemouth for the last 2 weeks and went to my wife's niece's school sports day last Tuesday - very expensive, private school with a big emphasis on sport - couldn't get in the car park for top end Chelsea Tractor type cars. Looking around the parents I saw a tall, sun tanned bloke I recognised. None other than Jolly Rog looking lean, mean and fit.

I certainly don't expect him back at Cardiff but also there was Bournemouth's Assistant Manager, Jason Tyndall, and they had a long conversation. I guess Rog knew the writing was on the wall at Wolves and Bournemouth could use a tall, experienced centre half good at winning the ball in the air. Could he be their man especially as he lives in that area? Might have to take a big cut in wages though.

While on the name dropping front, parked my car outside Harry Rednapp's little pad on Sandbanks on Wednesday while taking the ferry over to the Swanage side for an excellent lunch. No sign of Harry though. His mock Gothic palace must be worth a fortune (£4 to 5 mill at least) with a slip way onto the water. How the other half live!!!!

Come on Sparks I know Porthcawl so wouldn't dare draw a comparison.

I do the Porthcawl 5k Parkrun most Saturdays - lower promenade out to Rest Bay and back - do I pass Chez Sparks on the way?

Mind you some of the places around the Poole area have to be seen to be believed. It's getting like the Intercoastal Waterway at Fort Lauderdale/Miami where a buyer will spend millions buying a property or 2 next to each other only to knock down and start again to their own taste.

I'm not tellin' Bluey - I don't want you popping in for a cup of tea - I might be on the nest........<laugh>

You wouldn't be anywhere near me though - you'd have to run the other way from the prom toward Newton, not toward Nottage. We are a cut above the Nottage riffraff here in Newton - we even have our own Bargain Booze.....<laugh><ok>

No worries Sparks its hard enough doing the promenade to Rest Bay and back without considering a jog to Newton.

Although is Pandy still looking after "the tin"?

Bluey - the tin is still stashed under the stairs, but somewhat underused these days to be honest. He's seen the errors of his ways and nips down to Bargain Booze instead (must admit I go with him <laugh>).

Newton is a perfect place. Just a Post Office, a Spar shop, 3 pubs and a Bargain Booze - what more could anyone want. <ok>
