What I take from this is that there are simply no predictable games in this division (or the Premiership these days, for that matter). And from that we can take heart - Reading are as likely to slip up against Doncaster as they are against us and West Ham. Just like we lost to the bottom teams when we were at our absolute peak. And just like we hadn't beaten anyone from the top half away until Leeds. So each game brings new hope that this is the game Reading drop a few points - we don't need to wait until they play someone better than them (there aren't really many). I just really wish they would do it soon. The alternative is that they carry on to the top of the table, beating West Ham on their way, and West Ham hit a bad patch. This is the reason why I don't ever read match threads until the end of the match in question - it's just ridiculous some of the predictions on there, and the massive, fate-tempting cockiness, which just makes me more gutted when we lose. And attracts the WUMs in their droves when we've got it wrong again! We just have to match Reading's results now, until hopefully they drop a few points and give us some breathing space. And with 7 straight wins, and a clean sheet in all but one of them, that isn't going to be easy! Can we loan Billy back to Doncaster for a game??
