    THE Football Association have agreed a £3million compensation deal withSunderland and will name Sam Allardyce as the new England boss later today.

    FA officials have spent the past two days thrashing out terms with the Black Cats after deciding Allardyce was the man they wanted to replace Roy Hodgson.

    Sam Allardyce arrived at Sunderland training this morning before the club agreed a compensation deal with the FA
    And they reached a final agreement this morning – paving the way for them to formally install the 61-year-old as new Three Lions manager this afternoon.

    He will be handed a two-year deal and challenged with leading the country to the World Cup in Russia in 2018 and deliver a better display than his predecessor at Euro 2016 and World Cup 2014.

    SunSport told you on Wednesday how Allardyce had been chosen by the three-man FA committee in charge of finding a new manager after England’s flop at Euro 2016.

    About time. £3m not too bad and will go a bit of the way to make up for the "undisclosed-but-crap" fee we got for Giaccherini.
