2nd Spot

All those who have tried it for size
Have not held on to second prize,
For long at a time
Now would be fine
If we could just help stabilize...

..that spot, which no-one wants to take
Those there have soon put on the brake,
"Full speed ahead"
I´m sure PL´s said
So that we don´t make that mistake

And this Saturday against Hull
There´s unlikely to be any lull,
As we go and hunt
For more points to shunt
Us closer, it shouldn´t be dull

But just the one point there would do
To keep us ahead of the queue,
As we take a rest
Before the big test
That April will soon have on view

With our confidence though, sky high
I´d not be surprised if we fly,
Away from their ground
With three more points found
Just as we did last week on SKY

And I´m sure we´ll look up and not down
Towards Rangers and not towards Town,
And there´s still both time
And points for a climb
To turn silver into a gold crown. OTBC

Whether it's on the Pink 'Un or been written in a document prior to publishing, i hope you've recorded all of your poetry and limericks royalbarclay.

I'd hate to think all of your good work will have gone down the drain along with 606, when the day finally comes.

 

SKC - I´ve still got them all somewhere, don´t worry, if I should feel the urge to refreshen them at any time, but as they become outdated, they also tend to lose interest, though I am working on one or two possibilities, post-606.
