Roman's not throwing money around anymore, not that he hasn't got it but there's only so much he's willing to put in to win the CL. Once he's done that with his expensive plaything, and got the necessary bragging rights, then it wouldn't shock me if he sold up. Its only my opinion, but I think thats all there is to it, he wants to get it won so he can say look what I did then he'll move on. It'll be a lot easier to sell the club if he can say its a CL winning team. But he's not going to put in more than he'll recoup now.
I think that Chelsea have a few things in mind with this. They can't compete directly in financial terms with Citeh now, so they have to go for other targets that they've softened up. They have to keep an eye on the FFP rules, in case they actually work. They feel that they can get Modric without having to pay over the odds and potentially strengthening us. Levy should just tell them that we're not interested in any bids from them and that any more attempts at communication will be ignored.
Totally agree. The best thing is to ask Abramovich which part of "**** off" he is having trouble understanding
Double the 27 fella and you are getting warm. All that money and your poor little rich boy can't get his Subutteo set to win the Champions League. My heart bleeds for you.
Apparently we all have to go and hand ourselves in at the nearest copshop now! poor Sol's feelings may be hurt.
Campbell has already dibbed Modric! They've got over 4 and a half yrs of contract to buy out...very big dosh, if there's no trigger clause, it wouldn't surprise me to see Levy tough this one out, he knows exactly what in Mods contract.
according to bbc sport,Chelsea have offered 27 million and levy will say no again,if they can't get him they will turn thier attention to kaka
Levy should do what Arsenal have done for Fabregas. Told them an exact price that they can have him for and its up to them if they want to fork it out. This price, of course, will be extortionate.
That Solidspur is the best comment I have seen yet- it puts the onus on the Chavs to put up or shut up. That fee should start at 35-40m.
IF he goes (it is looking more & more likely) then its probably going to be around the £35-37m mark, with a player thrown in as well (on loan likely if its a younger one, or it'll be one of the old crocks)
Don't know about that one-the loan bit I mean DB. Remember the last time we did that - what a success that was
Oh I do.... Frazier frickin Campbell, bag o' ****e. Didn't say I would want it, just said it would probably be what was the accepted offer.
