Who do we think the Captain for the coming season will be?

McDermott said on Tuesday (I think) that he has in his mind who he wants to be captain, I really doubt this to be Peltier though personally.

For me its between Warnock and McCormack at the moment for completely different reasons. Warnock is an experienced head who seems quite calm and controlling and McCormack is just so committed to the shirt for me and Brian has said how much he rates McCormack.

I don't think it'll be Peltier either this season. Assuming we keep Byram and maybe add another CB then I can't see him starting enough games really. I think Warnock would be a good shout though. I'm not a fan of strikers being captains to be honest, so i wouldnt go for Ross myself. Particularly as elland pointed out on the morning thread, his head can drop if he isn't having a good game which isn't the right attitude for a captain for me.

I'd go for Pearce as captain, think the extra responsibility would bring out the best in him, as it proved when he was captain of Pompey

I said that last season he shoulda been captain. In fact I think he is a leader when he is on the pitch even just watching him last season he was always talking to team mates and really commanding them

If we sign another CB though he won't be a guaranteed starter so its hard to make him captain.

Could potentially be Murphy? I know he's new, but he does seem like a leader and a winner, he captained Crewe to JPT victory anyway. I like a central midfielder as captain as well!

Has to be McCormack for me. Longest serving player now I believe, loves the club, not afraid to speak his mind and seems to enjoy responsibility.

Vice captain for me as he maybe rotated/dropped due to formation/form.

Love rosco though and agree with what you've said. <ok>

It won't be McCormack or Pearce as neither will start every match, you can't have a captain on the bench. Strikers don't make good captains either so for me it will be Warnock or one of the midfielders

I would imagine Ross will start every match if injury and suspension permits.

I'm not a fan of strikers being captains either or even flair players. I didn't like it when Snoddy was named captain just because I didn't think he was captain material, for some reason it feels different with McCormack. Personally I'd make him vice captain to Warnock.

I wouldn't make Murphy captain purely because of his age, captaining Crewe is a completely different thing to captaining Leeds United

Don't think age has anything to do with ability to make a good captain. Bremner was what, 24 when he became our captain?

Not that bothered about who is captain of the club, however Leeds United have only ever won anything when they have had a Scottish captain, and for that I would suggest McCormack must be given the honour.

I'm of the opinion BMcD will give Hunt the nod for the position of Captain.

I reckon Luke Murphy was bought to be our captain.
