Nothing to revealing - Yann and Haynes have new numbers (9 and 18) whilst Hayes and Clarke have 39 and 40. Green keeps his number 7 shirt - you have to feel if this ''imminent'' move Swindon was correct then he too would have lost his number. I noticed number 19 wasn't filled, which is an obvious sign that Rommedahl is coming back.
So much for my theory that the club was maybe having second thoughts on letting Hayes go. This is another clear hint he is not wanted, like playing him with the development squad but making Bover captain.
Why are....?? Hughes - No. 2 Evina - No. 3 Wagstaff - No 11 None of those are regular starters? I can see Wagstaff being moved on or loaned out by the start of the season.
I think saying he did for 10% of his time with us is being very generous Ted even in the Palarse game his only contribution was THAT goal!
He scored 9 goals in 75 games, and probs got an assist or 3.... that's better then a goal every 10 games so I'll give him the 10%
Wiggins obviously doesn't like the number 3 and i doubt Solly is that bothered. Real kick in the face for Hayes deserves after. When was the last time we had a number 9 for more than a season? By that i mean the same guy wearing it.
I know Hayes is surplus to requirements, but I must admit to being a tad disappointed by the treatment towards him. It's not just about the shirt number - as Eddie points out, playing in development games and having Bover be his captain etc strikes me as odd. But perhaps it's just a matter that Ruben will be the under 21 captain next season? Anyone else feel the same?
This is a big season for ruben. He was under the impression that he would be more involved in the first team then he ended up being. If he isn't at least on the bench more often than not i fully expect him to go out on loan sooner rather than later. Barnet could be a good fit, but would think both him and Powell would want at least a league one club. The problem could be that the club advanced quicker than was thought when he was brought in. Would be an asset in league one this season that's for sure.
Andy Hughes is interesting to me, I can't see him playing much this season, 5 app would be a good season I'd think.
