.....who never get much of a headline but I think they've been doing more than earning their crust... Elliot Parish and Derrick Williams.... Well worth a mention, I've been more than happy at their commitment of late, thanks fellows others are getting the headlines, you are doing your job, with quality..
I like Parish, but given the competition he has for the number shirt is he as good as we think? How many times have we seen him pull off a save to deny the opposition a clear chance? I see the keeper loads slated on here is in a team at the top of the Championship now! I wish we still had Heaton losing him Kelly and Stead has sent our club back years. Kelly not our fault. Heaton maybe someone should of thought last Xmas to get him on some contract apart from the one year one. Stead he's talking about us on twitter regurly and loves the area, he's just a sub at Huddlesfield. Was enough done to convince him to stay? I doubt it we then spend wages on Harewood and I know some rate him here but apart from trying to get the crowd going has not scored buckets of goals since he's been here, granted he's not time on the field but ain't that down to him to prove it in training?
Williams looks good and got a well deserved MofM. Parrish was fine, but as an ex keeper myself, would like to see him take more control of the 6 yard box. If he can, we could have a very able keeper. Don't know what it is with Fielding. Came with a good enough CV, but some Derby fans did alert us to his now apparent weaknesses, just as Leeds fans said of Kilkenny. What does puzzle me, is if fans can see the obvious, why doesn't the people that go on to buy them?
To be fair to Parish. When he is in goal he is never tested enough and then the opposition decide to stick that one ball into a corner or absolutely smash the ball past him. He's done nothing wrong IMO and is the much better keeper out of the 2.
