    Musty,
Lucas = Billy Lucas former Manager?
Medwin - Terry Medwin (asst under Tosh)?
Allchurch - must be Ivor and not Len?

So we have Ivor Allchurch, Terry Medwin, Cliff Jones, Harry Griffiths, Mel Charles, Billy Lucas - I have a photo of Ivor, Terry, Cliff, Harry and a couple of others I don't recognise taken in the changing room at the Vetch from around this time, and by that I mean mid-50s. I will try to post a copy of it to this thread early next week.

    BTW, I'm not that old.

Is the Williams in this team the Herbie Williams I remember from the 60s? A bit too early perhaps. I think I remember that he was one of the first footballers to wear contact lenses? very tall and thin - a sort of Welsh Crouch.

oh that leather ball that was lethal when wet and felt like a medicine ball when you tried to head it, and when those laces would sometimes come loose they were dangerous and could blind a player......remember them days lads....

I remember the size 3 ball when I was a young kid, the old leather laces style .... like kicking and heading a cannon ball. We had to put dubbing on the ball to try to keep the water out.
