it's only from hdm but they are saying nige wants 3 in. This, to me, might mean we have to sell Growshitski to get them in. Seems adelakun from scunny might be one of them. He's after a wide man, a striker and a cenner back. So who would you go for? Obviously we don't know how much we've got to spend either. Let's hope nige has a decent sum to spend.
A central defender is an absolute priority chazz, the times you see teams in this league score a goal in an average game but are then capable of holding out. Knowing who to get I haven't got a clue because like you say its down to funds. We also need a forward but good ones are not cheap so I think we will be looking at the loan market again but don't know how many more we can bring in on loan. Its basically down to money
3? We need 2 centre halves, 2 full backs, a winger and at least 2 good strikers, assuming nobody leaves.
We really don't need all that and it won't happen anyway. Aina has been fine since Adkins came in. Kingsley is coming back too. Tomori will shift over to centre half and we'll bring another centre half hopefully. We do need a winger but I can't see us getting in another striker unless Dio and Keane (loan) leave. Abel will be back soon and he's one of the best strikers in the division too. Hopefully we'll also see Mason and Moses at some point this season too.
Three pints of Optimistic for EPT... I’d be amazed if we see Abel again I’d be astonished if Moses plays again unless it’s right at the end of the season And if Mason plays this season I’ll be checking which is my tastiest hat to eat!
Why won't we see Abel again? He'll be back in a month or so. Even if he signs a pre contract elsewhere, he won't be going till the summer
Wingers to replace Bowen and Grosicki. Cheap keeper to replace McGregor. One of the wingers to fall through due to Tigers hall of fame, leaving us with less players than now.
Does anyone actually see another club stumping up enough money, probably around £8m, for Grosicki? Not sure I do If there was little interest in the summer I can't see why there'd be any more now.
I just don’t think he’ll be back in a month or so, I foresee a few other niggles, so I don’t expect to ever see him play for us again I hope you’re right though
Really do hope you are right, there is a good chance come 5pm Monday we could be in the bottom 3, clubs around us appear to be picking up and each game that gone by without a positive result for city means it going to get harder to get away from the bottom end of the table, i honestly think that the next 4 weeks transfer business will tell us which league we'll be in next season, on another note it will be great to see some of our long term injuries back but their are going to need time to get back to match fitness several have not kicked a football in anger for over a year plus.
Isn't Bowen likely to go in January bearing in mind that in the summer Ehab sold anyone that received a half decent offer? Or is Nigel Adkins more capable of stopping that happening than Slutsky?
Listening to the post match interview after the Fulham game, Burnsey pressed him on whether he had been given assurances that he could bring players in, and it sounded to me as if the ones Nigel had asked for were too much money. Expect cheap and cheerful if any come in at all.
It's been a real tough run of games under Adkins so far but we've played well and should've had more points. A couple of wins change everything and we certainly do look like getting them now, whereas, under Leo, I never thought we did. Get tomorrow's game out the way and we have a decent break then. Hopefully by then Mazuch, Meyler and Kingsley won't be far away and Campbell, and Evandro may be able to start games too at at least a game in Evandro's case
If his value is on a downward trajectory then they will sell him sooner rather than later. More likely in Jan than summer as desperate clubs like to panic buy.
But his value isn't any lower than it was in the summer. He's on a deal until 2020 and there's the World Cup in the summer, a few good performances and we'll get very good offers for him
Nobody tell them how to run their business don't forget. I would say there is a good chance Bowen will go, whether anyone is willing to pay the money Ehab will want for Grosicki, is somehow doubtful.
There's nothing wrong with cheap and cheerful john, it's just getting the right ones in. Preston are doing well with that and so are Bristol. So are sheff u. its up to Bowen whether he goes or not. Not any chairman or manager. If we were offered ten million and Bowen gets the offfer of 40 or 50 grand a week he will go. For his career he should stay here like, just look at Tymon arf
It's an interesting one with Hernandez. Does he have to play to let clubs know he's fit and back to his best or does he waiti it out and not play in case he gets little niggling injuries which will decrease his potential wages as clubs may be wary. Nobody came in for Diame until he'd had a full season back playing.
Two new CBs is a given....Dawson's been great, but it has to come to an end one day...Hector..is just too flaky and guilty of too many rushes of blood to the head. If the Alarms want to stay in this league then they have to part with some cash...We'll wait and see!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The local rag is a joke when it comes to City. Adkins needs players on the cheap who can handle the pressure? If Bowen and Grosiki go we will have to rely on Campbell and Dicko to score more goals than we conceed to keep out of trouble.
