I, for one, will be watching with interest to see if your team puts in 100% effort this evening, Mr. Lennon. please log in to view this image
Neil Lennon never said anything about "effort". He said other teams did not "Compete". Celtic did not "Compete" against Inverness last week, I am inferring that they laid down?
Dev I tried to explain that to him earlier but I'm afraid his judgement is clouded by his hatred of Neil Lennon.
I think we all know Lennons comments were both out of order and sour grapes. His comments werent misinterpreted or twisted. He meant what he said at the time. Most of the media tends to agree with that. I don't see anything more than that so let's not get our knickers in a twist!
No, your thread is called "100%" so i'll ask again as you seem to lack a basic understanding of English. When did Lennon say that teams did not give 100%?
It means "Rangers annihilated their previous opponents, it'd be nice (for Celtic) if someone took points off them."
Please Wolsey, tell us which part of that is untrue. The previous two results at that point were Rangers 4 - Hearts 0, Motherwell 0 - Rangers 5. If I was you I wouldn't try to patronise other posters on their language skills when you clearly lack the intelligence to understand simple English..
. Wolsey, stop making a **** of yourself. First you misunderstand, then you confound it by repeating your ignorant claims.
That's the thing about words, they can mean more than one thing and are open to interpretation. To compete could mean simply to participate, it could mean to 'give 100%', or it could mean to run your opponent close/actually win. Neil Lennon came out and clarified that he meant the 3rd option. You can keep on misinterpreting what he said if you like though
