I'm of the belief that the club do have at any point in time a list of coaches doing well around Europe at a level where Sunderland would be a good next destination. Farioli was a perfect example and Will Still. However, our ability to get them to sign on the dotted is clearly the issue...

Its only a good option for him if he is given the tools to do the job and can bring in his trusted colleagues. And there are big question marks on both at Sunderland.

They are a total shambles. Its completely undeniable. You dont publically chase someone for 3 months then not get them. Every other Head Coach then knows they are not first choice and its just embarrassing. Their 'process' is a total disaster yet again.

The squad were already finished mentally when Beale went , maybe even from Mowbray leaving so its difficult to judge Dodds really.

I refuse to get excited about any of our so called head coach targets. We used to attract actual proven managers, no matter what league we were in. Now everyone is excited over managers that have either zero games experience or one season. Its total bonkers.

I think it should be reserved for semi final and final of major cups. And in the league I'm not entirely sure , but optional or something.

My view is that all 3 head coaches this season have had a pretty crap hand to play. Mowbray had no strikers and it became incredibly predicable to the opposition. He was taking us down a blind alley and was resistant to change hence his sacking. Beale thought that if the strikers were crap...
