    It's particularly impressive considering how there's a much bigger focus on attack now. Look at most clubs and their style is based on chances / goals. Even Man United have a terrible defence.

    Umbro have been sold by Nike, so I imagine they will keep making shirts? Probably just won't be for the bigger clubs anymore.

    You need the infrastructure though. With the setting up of the MLS and grassroots coaching, the number of quality American players playing across Europe is rising. The same needs to happen in India, China, etc.

    English teams will always benefit from the greater global exposure. I guess that's why Chelsea are higher than Bayern even though Bayern are of course historically much more successful.

    Asian players in English football

    Casual racism is a problem, no question (e.g. Koreans eating dogs) but I disagree that there are many Asian players good enough for the Premier League or even the Championship. Maybe 10-15 would be good enough? And I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be South Korean or Japanese.
