Partly. The other part was because we had outgrown a mere subsection on a forum and needed our own General Chat section away from the football discussion as the board was getting massively clogged. Don't understand why you can't use both though AB & pop over? I know I speak for a lot of posters...

The new site has an equivalent but it's hidden to everyone except those who request to see it.

This and the fact that one subforum does not a forum make (even if the subforum is the busiest) & not606 will go from strength to strength.

The move was never exclusive and wasn't down to the GC lot (obviously didn't help but not one of the main reasons), it was felt that we had merely outgrown one subsection on a forum as we were having far too many off-topic threads that it was impossible to read both the football & general chat...
