Match Day Thread Sunderland AFC v Saudi FC - Sunday 14th December 2025 - KO 14:00

RLB reaction is absolutely brilliant - a split second disbelief look before his arm punching and look at the visitors bench, a couple of celebrations with the staff and then hands back in pocket, serious side back on to plan the next move. The man is brilliant :emoticon-0103-cool:

Well if other clubs are that short sighted that they wont sign good (young) players for the sake of 4-6 weeks they may go missing, then long may it continue. Also, what do they think of all the other other non Afcon players we signed - what is there excuse for not signing them? <confused>

Brilliant opportunity and experience for the young lads. One of them is a young lad who played with my grandson at u13 last season but will be moving up to the u15s next season.

Match Day Thread Sunderland AFC v Arsenal FC - Saturday 8th November 2025 - KO 17:30

Watching the highlights (again) I noticed how unlucky ELF was when he listened the ball fir their equaliser. As he turned to go forward Rice was on the wrong side of him but the ball hits ELF's foot and bounces straight back to Rice. Six inches to the side and he had broken the press <doh>

Totally agree and what a lot of these people making these comments forget is that we are doing all these things after only 11 games, whilst Arsenal have built up there squad over a number of years and other teams with numerous signings using that as as excuse. This shows how not only RLB is...

Played well, confident and reassuring in everything he did. Also, played the pass from just outside our box for Brobbey and then had the nouce/confidence to follow the pass and to actually be the furthest player forward as Talbi scored. Not bad for a centre half in the second minute of injury...

Aye, we were one of them :cheesy: As the lights turned green people still ambling across looking at the cars as if they shouldn't be there <laugh> A footbridge would be better as I am sure some car drivers will not be as patient as my son <confused>

Team spirit shown in abundance again, not only the players who got on the pitch but also the subs who didn't, as shown by Mayenda doing his "whey....whey....whey.... WHEEYYY" at the end still and loving it, despite not getting on. Tremendous :emoticon-0152-heart

Personally I would keep changes to a minimum and play Masuaku at left back (round pegs in round holes as they say). The other 3 are forming good partnerships with each other so dont see the need to break that up at the moment imo.
