I liked Tickles. He had a sort of gentle humour about him and I don't remember him ever getting over the top personal like some do. Hope he's OK.

It is a beautiful badge and all the arguments about marketing and such aside, I hope the new owners restore the old badge because I've got the bloody thing tattooed on my left shoulder and don't intend having it lasered off!

I haven't been posting much lately, though I did write a few words a couple of weeks ago when Steve Bruce left. But like City supporters around the world I have been watching all this unfold with horror, incredulity and total disgust. I am still looking forward very much to my return to England...

It's all been said really - decent bloke, not perfect (who is?), brought us great success and much excitement. It seems all we can hope for now is that the Allams sell quickly and whoever buys can recover our situation. Good luck Steve!
