Hi maclad<ok> Keeping the home fires burning i see  every credit and well done. Time you got some kind of reward in recognition of your undoubted efforts to keep Northend alive on this site. Maybe a win tonight against Borough would suffice for now. Anyway good to see you on my...

    Oldham Athletic @ Deepdale 25/10/2011

I would suggest that Northend are in a mess when they have to play a young injured striker (Proctor). It now seems like he has been carrying the injury since the start of the season. This is NO way to treat a youngster starting off on his proffesional career, it is putting his footballing future...

Well done maclad..<ok> Nothing for PNE in this game unless Huddersfield decide to go on strike for 90 minutes..<laugh> We can always look back to happier times against Huddersfield though. http://www.britishpathe.com/results.php?search=Preston+North+End <party> :)

    PNE V Sheffield United

I think that somewhere between tommyt's and maclad's comments lies my thoughts on last night's awful result. I have to say that at no stage was I confident that Northend would win, even during the two ten minute periods that Northend were on top. During those two periods I always thought the...

    PNE V Sheffield United

I don't like the 4 3 3 formation Brown is using, unless the middle three are on the ball the defence is threatened. If the middle three stay tight in midfield then the threat comes down the flanks, if they are wider apart then the centre of defence is threatened. The players have to be good to...

    Walsall V PNE

Not much to disagree about with your comments tommyt, the substututions (Mellor apart) and moving Carlisle up front suggested a strong element of desperation by Phil Brown. Most fans feared that should we lose both Hume and Mellor we could be in trouble up front. The midfield is lightweight and...
