    What to do

Scotland or Australia? In Scotland, the football might be of a lesser quality, but St. Johnstone are currently fourth in the Scottish Prem, and are having a decent time of it at the moment - they just beat fifth placed Ross County today, and might afford you more excitement than SAFC are doing...

Would you have Big Sam back

Good. The sheer hypocrisy of the modern Sunderland supporter is stifling me to death.

Then let's wait and see. I'm all for that.

Would you have Big Sam back

You're boring me to tears, too, Disco. If I make a video on how to commit a murder, you'd prefer a suspected murderer to walk the streets while I'm banged up - is that right? It's the same hypocritical principle, mate

Would you have Big Sam back

There is no video, or none that I know of. But there's not even an allegation of Allardyce taking a transfer bung. And if there was, would you say that was "for no good reason" as well? Level playing field mate - that's all I'm saying.

Would you have Big Sam back

It's bizarre that Allardyce was immediately described as a 'dodgy bastard' yesterday for saying how bungs could be done. Whereas today it's just 'an allegation against Moyes for actually taking one. Level playing field? - that's all I'm asking Disco.

So far as I know, Sam has made it clear from Day One that, if he was ever offered the England job, he would want to be released. The FA ruined our season by dilly-dallying, Sam did not. On another note, Disco, he's your manager. I'm steadily moving away from this club now.

Would you have Big Sam back

Hasn't he made it clear to his last three clubs (at least) that if he was ever offered the England job he would want to be released. And didn't we, amongst others, agree to that from Day One?

    A cheap dig thread.

Well done to Manchester City for grabbing a late equaliser. I suppose that's one reason for keeping The Old Firm out of English football (though I don't want them to abandon their own country for other reasons myself).

Would you have Big Sam back

I've just read today's list or transfer bung-takers. And yes, I'd take a clean Sam back in place of 'dodgy bastard' David. Or doesn't that matter when it doesn't suit? <laugh>

Well so far as I know, Sam was listed yesterday for taking a bung to advise how it can be done. He wasn't named as having actually taken a transfer bung himself. But maybe I missed something.

I notice Allardyce is not on that list. He told how it could be done, but he isn't named as having done it. I suppose we haven't to mention St. David - who IS on the list?

    Off Topic Scandal pt2

If a yob conned an old lady out of £200, it would be called a criminal offence. If a press guy cons an old man out of £4m, it's called ...what? And WHY? As Nostalgic said (#23) there is good honest investigative journalism. Bernstein and Woodward will never die in that respect. But then...

    sam sacked

I like your sentiments, Nacho, but I'm not sure Moyes has a year to run. That Burnley result last night really warmed things up - we're now six points behind the club in 15th place - and we're not out of September yet,. We must get something from WBA this weekend, because if we don't and 'Boro...

    Sack race

News today is that the Swansea chairman has had initial talks with Bill Bradley. So it's probably going to be there. But time is running out at SAFC - if we lose this w.e., that's one point from 7 games - projecting forward, that's between 5 and 7 points for the season! I'm sure it won't stay...
