    i'm struggling me like

Saints an in peace. Lots of saints fans have been on the phone ins praising Sunderland fans for a great response to the game. In addition, just seen mannone praising them and the club - you guys will be fine - great club with proud tradition and support. Good luck against the arsenal. We all...

    What's left to worry about?

I was thinking about this on the way home from the game last night ( was sat in with the home fans, unfortunately). Id had some concerns about our squad strength, but gardos and targett were excellent, so I'd have no concerns there. And of course we have Rodriguez and Gallagher to return yet. So...

    Premier league response

After mp left, but before lambert's departure, I wrote to the premier league to show frustration about a supposed example club being asset stripped, whipped up by a media frenzy (my question to them is at the bottom of this post) and reinforced by football's 'glass ceiling' for us so called...

    Thank you Pochettino thread

Yes, but it's always going to happen. Other clubs will always be 'bigger' and have more money and the media will always agitate for the best players to move to the top clubs. I don't see any of that changing - so all we are doing is growing talent for others. 8th is the highest we will ever get.

    Thank you Pochettino thread

There's a lot of anger on here today - and not just on this thread. I feel it too, but not especially toward MP. It's more towards the rotten structure of the English game overall - where we'll run clubs generating their own talent don't stand a hope in hell of breaking through the glass ceiling...

    Worst Manager Ever

I haven't posted in a while, but this thread motivated me. Branfoot. By acountry mile. And I would have said redknapp so that says it all! As a previous poster said, if you missed the Branfoot era, lucky you!

    Preparing to drop lambert?

Points taken, and I hope you are right. Certainly wasn't 'wummery' (whatever the hell that is!). Personally I'd rather see lambert back up front rather than playing off osvaldo.

    Preparing to drop lambert?

Now I may be reading too much into this, but having read pochettinos comments after the palace game (talking about 'understudies' and so on with the strikers) I wondered if this was the first stage of softening up the fans towards leaving lambert out of the starting XI. Pochettino will know...

    Lets Talk FIFA 14!

Novice question, so forgive mi if I've missed the obvious, but what's happened to the live fixtures option that was in last edition?

    Transfers before the deadline

Based on Guly and Hooiveld have a convenient 'illness' just before deadline day, I wonder whether they are off and we are in the market for players in their positions. Hopefully not, I think both are good cover.

    Summer 2013 Transfer Rumour Thread - Mk2

Agree. Much of the transfer market is about momentum. Whatever the sum, selling one of our best players would signal we are still a selling club and reduce further our chances of signing the players we are after.

The England team and the youth teams

I think it is mostly the style of play, rather than who goes. The example that made me dispair most when watching the u21s was the sight of butland kicking the ball aimlessly downfield. This followed hodgsons advice to joe hart in the seniors that he should 'kick to the centre, not the wings, so...

    RIP Kevin Moore

Sad news indeed. Moore was one of those players who gave his all on the field. Not the most gifted technically, but made the most of what he had. Fond memories of a few goals at the old Dell - a couple of towering headersfrom corners. RIP

    Morgan Schneiderlin

Glad you mention Cork. Agree with all the praise for Schneiderlin here, but Cork is also playing really well. Difference is, he can't buy a goal!

    Impact subs

Transfer needs became clearer for melast night. If pocchetino wants to play a high pressing game, the front 3 behind lambert will be knackered after an hour or so, as last night. I know we have lallana to return, but de ridder, Davis and an out of position Rodriguez just don't cut it off the...
