    Tonights games

    We are better and deserve to be above them, but surely West Ham are too strong for their appalling run of form (no wins in 5?) to continue. Pompey to lose, they have a pretty poor goal-scoring record and Hull (although unable to deal with us) are strong defensively.

    Why do some still not understand Guly?

    Sometimes when I'm at the ground, I also listen to the commentary and I don't think that Guly gets a fair rep from radio solent and this affects a lot of people's opinions of him. The number of fans, who aren't even at the game and text in at half or full-time saying "What does Adkins think...

    But when you add draws into the equation and divide it over the season for a points per game ratio, it will be just under 2 points per game, which is very good form.

    What type of player are/were you?

    I was REALLY fast (can't remember ever being out-paced) and tough in the tackle, I was a one club player for 17 years. Wayne Bridge presented me with my testemonial tankard. If truth be told I wasn't very skillfull, but I made up for it with determination.

    I may be wrong, but I think loans can (if required) be accompanied by a hefty "loan arrangement fee", which is, in all but name, a way of buying a player, with sizable amounts of cash changing hands, outside of the transfer window.

    April 2005, a saints team managed by Harry Redknapp was followed by around 2000 fans decked out in yellow and determined to create a carnival atmosphere, all the way to Blackburn. The fans sang from the first minute to the last. The team rolled over and were made to look sh*t, losing 3-0...

    I can't remember many Southampton players that put in as much effort whenever they played as he did. I thought he was a class apart. For whatever reasons, his marriage fell apart whilst he was down here, that made him unhappy and he doesn't remember his time fondly. In all the games I saw him...
