First started watching motor sport at Silverstone before school age when my Father and his friend used to race an Amilcar. Used to meet Colin Chapman when he raced Austin Specials. Later I used to pedal to Silverstone on Wednesdays to watch the practice days with all sorts of vehicles.
I have great admiration for all racing drivers, I had the option to buy an Aston Martin DB4 equipped for racing for £200. If I had had the commitment I would have bought it with my Uni grant money and then swept the streets of Hull to pay my Uni bills. I didn't, true racers would not even hesitate.
