    Can we stay at sixth

I hope the team are mentally aiming for 5th or higher! Aim high to gurantee we are still fighting for that 6th place come the end of the season. I am just so pleased to be talking about this possibilty than worrying from match to match about who is going to finish beneath us in the relegation...

Bruce of to the Big Smoke for Munty permit!

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/sunderland-afc/safc-news/2011/01/28/steve-bruce-off-to-london-for-sulley-muntari-72703-28071346/ Looks like we wont hear much today if this is true. STEVE BRUCE is in London today to secure a work permit for Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari...

I think as Blackcat mentions, as long as we have Quinn, Short and Bruce we will progress nicely. Disrupting the management will have more impact on the occasional player sale. It would not surprise me if both Sess and Muntari see SAFC as putting themselves in the shop window for supposedly...

    Mensah - Head or Heart??

^^^^^This. I would seriously consider signing him with a view to offering him a role as a defence coach. He also has a lot of respect from African players and I am sure has played some part in some of our recent signings, Gyan, Muntari. I think its worth a gamble.

Van Der Sar to retire should we be worried about Gordon

Interestingly it rates Henderson better than Sessegnon. Perhaps Sess should ask for some set piece tips:emoticon-0105-wink:

    Has sessegon fell through ftm

A ITK on the SMB board reckons its still on and both him and Muntari will be at SAFC tomorrow. According to other posters he has given accurate info in the past. Lets hope its still on. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=563787&page=12
