Under 21s last night versus AFC Wimbledon

Both played against Barnsley the other day, Browne out wide and Cumberbatch in the middle, so there may be room for both.

    Joe Gomez

England won 4-1, Gomez gave away a penalty which was saved. He made up for it soon after running with the ball into to the Turkey penalty area, crossing to set up the equaliser.

    Belgian Takeover

Think we're only allowed 4 loans from abroad now after the FL changed the rules.

Charlton Athletic v Blackpool Match Thread

If Hughes came in it wouldn't have to be new formation, Cousins would take Gower's position and Hughes would move to the DM position. Just as they did Tuesday when Hughes came on for Gower. I saw Cousins in the Kent Senior Cup final. Thought the same, did well enough but I wasn't sure he had...

    Burnley vs Charlton

I saw Harry Pell in one of the youth cup games when he was here. Was one I thought we might have kept on. Not saying he'd have broken into the first team, but on what I saw he had more about him than the likes of Davisson, Popo, Tuna and Perkins. Not surprised a few years on none of them are...

    Burnley vs Charlton

Those players are out on loan for a good reason. Two aren't good enough for this level and one needs regular football if he's going to make it at this level. Injuries haven't helped Hollands no, problem is he lacks pace like most of our central midfielders. I seriously doubt either Hollands...

    Burnley vs Charlton

And how small would our squad be if we hadn't signed Gower, Church, Wood and Sordell? Gower's proven himself in the Championship with Swansea. I don't agree that Hollands is better, he struggled at this level last season. Agree I would have thought Smith was still ahead of Pigott. But in the...

    Burnley vs Charlton

Fuller gave us an alternative to Yann. Different type of player but both strong with a good touch. Without Yann we have no one that can hold up the ball. It makes huge difference. Gower's ok but he's there to add another option in the squad. Nothing more. They are the level of player we...

And Fuller. By not improving the squad we've gone backwards.

How long would you give Powell this season ?

We're 17th in the league which is, unfortunately, about right for our budget and squad. A new manager isn't going to get this squad promoted. Too early to be talking of replacing Powell. Seems to come up every time we fail to win a game.
