    Hammy Not Pleased With Schumi

And will Byron put his money (preferably loads of it) where his mouth is? Or was that another statement of fiction he just made?

    Hammy Not Pleased With Schumi

I know who I'm more inclined to believe, and it ain't the one whose name sounds like a youthful poet.

    Monaco Practice

Traditionally, the Moncaco GP has always been held on the weekend of Ascension Day (the Thursday that falls forty days after Easter day, or a week before Pentecost). The dates of adjacent Grands Prix are therefore always shuffled to fit around the Monaco event. But the thursday practice is, I...

FIA to introduce ‘three strikes’ grid penalties

What baffles me a bit about those handed out at Spain is this: if there was enough evidence that the drivers did not ease off past a yellow flag (a safety issue) they should have been given penalties, not reprimands. If the evidence didn't suggest such an offence (and the drivers have insisted...

FIA to introduce ‘three strikes’ grid penalties

No. I understand that when they bring the rule in, all previous reprimands will be wiped so all drivers will start again from zero.

Just being mischievous Fred. After all, it was you who denied being José in an earlier comment, then said that someone must be the person they were denying being.

OK - I need an excuse for staying in our room at a hotel to watch Silverstone.

Re-arrange the holiday for September, then suggest a day trip to a lovely royal park you know, just outside Milan.

Cosicave, I've been a member of CTA for about a year now (my username there and on 606 is Chad Stewarthill, where I was formerly sergeantchadders). I find it sad that you are no longer a contributor to CTA, as I had a lot of respect for your views expressed on 606. But I can say that for those...

    Jenson Vs Lewis

I don't honestly think strategy had much to do with it. Lewis' last pit stop apparently took about 21 seconds overall, and the commentators said more than once during the race that a typical one would lose about 17 seconds. So Hamilton, having lost his place to Button on the first lap and then...

Team Lotus to announce something at Duxford (*Sonogol Caterham F1*)

Presumably there was nothing to stop them if they'd wanted to. To be honest, the connection is very tenuous and probably meaningless to most people anyway; the 'Seven' hasn't been Lotus for nearly forty years.

Drat! You got there just before me!

    Kubica leaves hospital

As others have hinted, I think there's a vast difference between coming out of hospital and ever racing F1 cars again. Personally, I doubt he will. Very happy for him though, nevertheless.
