No to RDM in my opinion. He had no say on Chelsea's starting XI. It was basically chosen by Lampard, Terry and Drogba. Adkins would be the best choice I reckon. Top manager.

The 'All new' Do you want Pardew in or out? Thread

Why? We'll be in the Championship again. Change now and hope to god whoever we hire can galvanize the players and win a few points. I would happily take Nigel Adkins. Had Southampton playing great football and his players seemed to love playing for him and gave their all.

The 'All new' Do you want Pardew in or out? Thread

Sad to say out. He's a mouthpiece for Ashley and Llambias. Did well last season and failed to capitalize on it and rightly so, his position is now being questioned because of a string of dreadful performances, results and tactical decisions. If we were playing well I would almost excuse the...

    relegation

I'm sorry to say but we are one of the worst 3 teams in this league. Perhaps not on paper with some of the players we have in our squad but in terms of our tactics, the way we play, the motivation of the players, commitment and attitude of senior staff such as Pardew and the board. Relegation...

    William Vainqueur linked

Totally agree. On this season's evidence if we could still get £15-20m for him I'd snap the buying clubs arms off. Bigi is the future in that position.

    Football Manager 2012

It's just soooo slow. I ended up getting Saints promoted and was offered the chance to become GB manager for the 'lympics which I accepted. The FA let me have Richards, Baines and Rooney as my over-age players and have so far won my 2 opening games 7-1 and 5-0 against Nigeria and Mexico. I...

Latest Debuchy offer rejected and Lille refuse to do any business with us....

Couldn't be more wrong. In my opinion he has played the situation well. Made it known he wants the move but hasn't held his club to ransom or burned any bridges. How would you feel if he came here, did really well and then the proper big boys came knocking? Would you want him to refuse to...

Build your Strongest team for each of these Leagues....

Touchy. It's true though. If you think Clichy is the best left back in the Prem you are mental. Cissokho had one good season about 3 years ago and ever since Lyon signed him they've been wanting to get shot of him. He isn't even the best left back at Lyon FFS.

You are a pretty bad judge of left-backs aren't you?

Another twist in the Carroll saga....

Rickie Lambert didn't find the step up from League 1 to the Championship a challenge. Now that would be a bloody good signing.

Another twist in the Carroll saga....

Doesn't matter what league its in. He is a goal scorer. Might not be as prolific in the prem but he would do a job. He would cost about £6m I reckon. Maybe £1m either side.

Watch him more closely then. A proper fox in the box.

Another twist in the Carroll saga....

I'm not questioning whether or not Andy Carroll is a good player and his potential value to us as a squad player. My point is that for the outlay, I reckon we could bring in 2 players who would improve us as a squad much better than Andy Carroll would. Someone suggested Jordan Rhodes. A...

Another twist in the Carroll saga....

We don't necessarily need "better". We have Ba and Cisse, who in my opinion are already better. We need better value and I think there are better value options out there. If there is one area of the squad we do not need to splash out £15m on, it is up front.

why do you think no one came in for him

Like it or not, he has a well documented history of suffering with knee injuries. Whilst on paper, £7m might seem like a snip, he would no doubt be looking at signing at least a 4 year contract. This would need to be substantially improved terms than what he is on with us, so lets say around...
